Abstract

During the XIII International Congress of Industrial Engineering - COINI 2020, we had the opportunity to experience the resilience of the educational community of Industrial Engineering and its related careers, not only from the point of view of the governance of the educational system and its support networks , but also from the adaptability of teachers and students to establish strategies to face the crisis.
The global phenomenon of the pandemic and the different health strategies, focused on social distancing, were the forced impulse for the intensification of the interaction dynamics mediated by technologies. Virtualization was significant in the university system. In the disciplinary area, it showed a diverse, fast and effective adaptation, generating the regulatory instruments that allowed the training continuity at the institutional level. This adaptation was accompanied by different strategies implemented at the micro level by the structures of chairs and teaching teams.
The collaboration networks put into evidence are not limited to social networks and the application of their tools to the teaching-learning process, but have been extended to professional networks and networks of actors that work in the governance of the education system. Likewise, the association networks that link the State, industry and universities are included, and that as a whole have allowed a meaningful and virtuous interaction.
All the projections and conclusions presented are strongly optimistic regarding the success in achieving the training objectives and the positive impact that the university system has shown to the whole of society, due to its commitment, versatility to adapt to change and its permeability to contexts that challenge us every step of the way.
