Abstract

Based on the analysis of the shelling of the sunflower head, carried out during harvest at different speeds with shields made of different materials, the variables that influence it were evaluated. Objectives: the application of the hierarchical analysis process (AHP) to determine which variable is most relevant when avoiding the shelling of the sunflower head: energy, weight and resilience. Materials and methods: from the data collected at harvest, AHP was applied to determine which variable has the most influence at the moment of collision of the head with the harvester, the assessment of each variable to be able to carry out the method is carried out with the help of a materials engineer. Results and discussions: The resilience variable was the most important at the time of harvesting, followed by the speed variable and finally the weight of the material itself. Conclusion: Once the calculation process is completed, you can begin to work on the factors involved in sunflower shelling.
